Tiger Organic 0-0-0-90 is ideal for soil amendment purposes when a soil test result shows a high pH (above 7.0 and especially above 8), as well as high sodium and high lime (above 1.0%). Soil with such a high pH value is considered alkaline, and its high pH value causes essential nutrients to be unavailable for crops. One of the most cost-effective ways to lower pH is to apply Tiger Organic 0-0-0-90, a granulated product made up of thousands of tiny particles of sulfur per granule. Tiger Organic 0-0-0-90 is mixed with Bentonite clay in a special time-release formula. It is OMRI listed and WSDA registered for use in organic farming. As Tiger Organic Sulfur 0-0-0-90 decomposes and lowers your soil pH, it will react with the free lime in the soil, which will add gypsum (high in calcium) to the soil and free up the sodium to be leached out by watering. See the chart below for the amount of water needed. This will give poor quality alkaline soil more tilth, reduce soil crusting, make more phosphorous and micronutrients available, and it will remove sodium that can cause poor aeration and slow water uptake. Tiger Organic 0-0-0-90 can also be used as a source of plant nutrient sulfur for high sulfur-using crops like oil seeds and legumes. Its controlled release formulation will supply sulfur throughout the growing season. Application recommendations should be based on soil tests and crop removal rates of sulfur. Method of Application: Warm temperatures and good moisture and aeration are required for Sulfur decomposition to occur. Therefore, it is recommended to add Sulfur when plowing in early spring, as decomposition is minimal at soil temperatures less than 50 oF. Consequently, Sulfur decomposition in the winter can be limited even in a mild climate. Sulfur that lies 'dormant' in the winter, however, will decompose when warmer temperatures occur. Applications are best made just before temperatures are warm enough for the bacteria to decompose the Sulfur (70 - 80 oF). Applications can be made on turf just after core aeration, but care should be taken to apply plenty of irrigation to wash the Sulfur from the turf grass after any method of surface application. Application Rates: 1. For 1 lb of sulfur, use 1.11 lb Tiger Organic 0-0-0-90. 2. Apply appropriate amount of Tiger Organic 0-0-0-90 according to soil amending needs recommended by a pH test and soil test to check for sodium and lime. 3. As a general guideline, apply 250 lbs/acre or up to 5 lbs per 1,000 sq ft of Tiger 90CR Sulfur and monitor soil pH levels to determine if additional sulfur applications are required. 4. One 50 lb bag should cover up to 10,000 sq ft. Water needed to leach out excess free sodium: • 6 inches of water per foot of root zone will remove 50% of sodium • 12 inches of water per foot of root zone will remove 80% of sodium • 24 inches of water per foot of root zone will remove 90% of sodium

| Not Available for Sale or Shipping in the Following States: AR, DC, IL, IN, IA, KS, KY, LA, MN, MS, MT, PR, RI, SD, TN, UT, WV, WS, WY | Why Restrictions? All products labeled as pesticides, whether the product is natural, organic or man-made, are regulated by each state. Restrictions for sale in a state occur because the manufacturer of the product chooses not to register that product there. If the product is not a pesticide, there may be other regulations that the vendor cannot easily meet having to do with labeling. The reason for non-registration is usually economic: each state requires a fee that is paid annually, or the cost of re-labeling for just one or a few states is too high. For instance, each pesticide registered for sale in Arizona is assessed a $100 fee yearly for each size product. If you would like this product in your state, let us know and we will communicate your interest to the manufacturer. If there is enough interest, the manufacturer may decide to register the product you want. In the meantime, call us and we will help you find a similar product that we can substitute that is registered in your state. Please call with any questions, toll free 1-800-827-2847.
