Used by gardeners, pet owners, kennels, horse owners, breeding and training facilities, dairies, poultry and swine facilities, feedlots and other places where flies are a problem. This made-to-last, rust-free, heavy duty trap goes anywhere. Use it to reduce existing fly populations, fly blooms and migrant flies. The yeast bait is mixed with water and poured into the container at the bottom of the trap. Within seconds flies are lured into the trap. They enter into the confinement chamber and dehydrate from exposure to the sun. When the solar fly trap begins to fill up with flies, just empty, hose out and reset with new bait. Comes with one packet of bait, which is enough for approximately 5 weeks. Dimensions: 12" Dia. x 10.5" tall Instructions Available for Download: (PDF file) Solar Fly Trap Instructions.

Fly traps really work!

We've used the solar fly traps for years, starting with the wooden ones and changing over to the round metal ones. I highly recommend the metal ones, as they are sturdy and have the container for bait attached to the trap...pricey, but well worth the investment as they have lasted for 5 years with our alpaca herd.
Amazing Product

Was skeptical initially as to how this would control my problem with flies but I couldn't be more pleased. Have two horses and have always used the fly eliminators but in spite of that and meticulous barn cleaning, I was having a terrible problem with flies in the garage of my home and around the perimeter of the house. Inevitably some would end up in the house and I simply find them disgusting. I set up the trap and to my amazement, I have been able to capture a multitude of flies. They are no longer around my home or in my garage. I am so pleased as the product is expensive but worth every penny. As you can see, I'm ordering another to sit outside the barn. They will both pay for themselves in no time as they will drastically eliminate other products that I was using to control the problem. Kudos to the inventor!
Bull goose loony

Although winter has been stubborn about moving on, I baited and put the solar fly trap to work. It caught flies fine. The only problem is that the wind blew the trap around the yard. Now I carefully weigh it down! I believe I will like it even more as the weather finally warms and more flies hatch. I was glad you did not send the fly parasites any earlier since it has been cool, to cold and nothing is hatching yet!

Works great and has cut down on the number of flies around the barn.
Works better than expected

I have had the Solar Fly Trap working for 3-4 weeks and I am amazed at how many flies (and other bugs) that we have killed. Horse flies were making our pool area intolerable. The only con is that the legs are weak and you need to be careful when you put the top on the unit. I also purchased the parasitic wasps at the same time.

I have to say this fly trap works. The only thing I didn't care for was the fly bait - IT STINKS! I didn't like dealing with it & actually felt sorry for the flies. Instead, I use 1 can of beer & 1 egg whisked together & trap waaaaaay more than flies. Refill every 2 weeks. It's out April thru October by our garden & house.

Put out for 2 minutes -- hundreds of flies -- thousands by next AM. Emptied and put back out next morning, same thing!! Didn't know our problem was one until today. Used fly parasites for years -- this is even better. Horses, chickens, llamas, goats, dogs and all us people thank you!!!!! Ordering more today.

Worth the $$

We've used these traps for years and years. They'll practically last forever. I can't say enough about how effective these traps are. Once you've found the 'hot spot' in your yard or corral, flies by the thousands will be lured in and captured. Easy to maintain, and we just tie a weight to one of the legs and never have a problem with wind - hail is another story.
Amazing!

We have had problems with flies hanging around our outside garbage cans, which are not close to the house, but ended up in our house anyway. Finally, after trying those expensive traps from Lowe's and Home Depot, we stumbled upon this website. This fly trap has been a saviour this summer... it attracts and catches sooooo many flies. I know when it is time to change the solution when the flies try to make it back into our house!
