SLUGGO ® AG gets rid of slugs and snails and can safely be used around pets and wildlife! Contains iron phosphate, which occurs naturally in soil, along with snail and slug bait attractants in the form of wheat gluten. The bait not ingested by snails and slugs will degrade and become a part of the soil. SLUGGO ® AG remains effective even after rain. SLUGGO ®AG is OMRI Listed. Slugs and snails are attracted to SLUGGO®AG, which lures them from their hiding places. After eating the bait, the slugs and snails cease feeding because the iron phosphate interferes with calcium metabolism in their gut, causing the snails and slugs to stop feeding almost immediately. They die three to six days later. Dead slugs and snails may not be visible as they often crawl away to secluded places to die. SLUGGO® AG is effective against a wide variety of slugs and snails and will give protection to home lawns, gardens, greenhouses, outdoor ornamentals, vegetable gardens, fruits, berries, citrus and crop plants. The bait can be scattered on the lawn or on the soil around any vegetable plants, flowers, fruit trees or bushes to be protected. SLUGGO® AG will be most effective if used in early spring when the baby slugs appear from the eggs that have wintered over in the soil. When you see the first leaves of a hosta plant or other bulbs peeping up from the soil, it is time to cover the area affected by slugs with the granules. Then make another application again in a month and then again in early August. With this approach you will short circuit the three to five generations of slugs that appear every season. For broadcast application, use standard broadcast spreaders. For row application, use standard granular spreaders. Apply bait evenly at approximately 2044 lb per acre, or 0.5 - 1 lb. per 1,000 square feet, or for smaller areas, 0.15 oz., or 1 level teaspoon, per square yard, and reapply as the bait is consumed or at least every two weeks. Do not place in piles. If the ground is dry, wet it before applying bait. SLUGGO® AG works best when soil is moist but with little or no standing water. Reapply as the bait is consumed or at least every two weeks. Apply more heavily if the infestation is severe, if the area is heavily watered or after long periods of heavy rain. Active Ingredient ……. 1.0% Iron Phosphate Inert Ingredients ……… 99.0% Application Rate: Use .5 - 1 lb. per 1,000 sq. ft. or 20-40 lbs. per acre.

All products labeled as pesticides, whether the product is natural, organic or man-made, are regulated by each state. Restrictions for sale in a state occur because the manufacturer of the product chooses not to register that product there. If the product is not a pesticide, there may be other regulations that the vendor cannot easily meet having to do with labeling. The reason for non-registration is usually economic: each state requires a fee that is paid annually, or the cost of re-labeling for just one or a few states is too high. For instance, each pesticide registered for sale in Arizona is assessed a $100 fee yearly for each size product. If you would like this product in your state, let us know and we will communicate your interest to the manufacturer. If there is enough interest, the manufacturer may decide to register the product you want. In the meantime, call us and we will help you find a similar product that we can substitute that is registered in your state. Please call with any questions, toll free 1-800-827-2847.
