Mexican Bean Beetle Parasite <I>Pediobius foveolatus

Mexican Bean Beetle Parasite Pediobius foveolatus

These beneficial wasps kill Mexican Bean Beetle larvae.

Description Shipping Info Reviews
The Mexican bean beetle is a major insect pest of beans. The Mexican bean beetle adults and larvae will eat the undersides of the bean leaves causing lacing of the foliage. The high levels of damage to the leaves can significantly reduce your yearly bean yields.

Pediobius faveolatus is a small beneficial wasp that will parasitize 2nd through 4th instar larvae of the Mexican bean beetle (and the same stages of squash beetle larvae, a closely related species).

Shipped to you inside their host; Mexican bean beetle pupae. Once the adults emerge, the females deposit their eggs in the larvae of the Mexican bean beetle.

Release rate: Timing is critical; release one mummy per 70 sq ft. Approximately 20-25 wasps per mummy = approximately 800-1000 wasps per 40 mummies.
