Live Mealworms are an excellent food for birds, turtles, reptiles, toads and fish. Mealworms are the larval stage of the Darkling Beetle (Tenebrio Molitor), also called Yellow Mealworm Beetle. These mealworms are widely used to attract a variety of wild birds to your yard or birdfeeder, especially Bluebirds and Robins. If feeding to baby birds, it is recommended to remove the head of the mealworm before feeding. Mealworms will last several weeks in the refrigerator. Keep at 43-50° F.
Size: Mealworms are approximately 1" long and 1/8" in diameter.
