Finally, there is an alternative product to safely reach for when insect pests nest around your home!  EcoPCO® JET•X is a professional-strength insecticide aerosol that will exterminate most pests in 1 minute, just like all the other more noxious products. This unscented formula has a jet action that reaches 15 feet for safely getting at stinging insects. It provides residual protection, is CFC free, and has a formula safe for use around electrical outlets. Target pests include wasps, yellow jackets, hornets, and spiders.

EcoPCO® JET•X is also an effective alternative for pyrethrum aerosols.  EcoPCO® JET•X is designated as “bio-pesticide” by the Federal EPA because of its botanical active ingredient, a derivative of peanut oil. (This derivative does NOT cause allergic reactions.) The derivative attacks octopamine, which regulates an insect’s heart rate, movement and metabolism. Interrupting the function of octopamine results in a total breakdown of the insect’s nervous system, causing a fast knockdown and kill. Since octopamine is only found in invertebrates, EcoPCO® ACU’s action will not harm humans or pets.

Why Restrictions? All products labeled as pesticides, whether the product is natural, organic or man-made, are regulated by each state. Restrictions for sale in a state occur because the manufacturer of the product chooses not to register that product there. If the product is not a pesticide, there may be other regulations that the vendor cannot easily meet having to do with labeling.

The reason for non-registration is usually economic: each state requires a fee that is paid annually, or the cost of re-labeling for just one or a few states is too high. For instance, each pesticide registered for sale in Arizona is assessed a $100 fee yearly for each size product.
