Nature's soil aerators, our live earthworms (redworms or red wigglers) improve and condition the soil as they burrow in search of food.

Worms can eat their body weight daily in organic matter; converting it into dark, soil enriching castings full of live micro organisms, growth hormones, nutrients and humic acids which condition the soil, and neutralize pH.

Red Wigglers prefer a temperature range of 60° to 70° F, however they can tolerate 32° to 84° F and require a moist and dark environment with plenty of organic matter to eat! Use indoors and outdoors. These composting worms are perfect for worm bins.

Earthworms excrete a highly nitrous fertilizer (called castings), which contain 5X the available nitrogen, 7X the available phosphorus, 3X the exchangeable magnesium, 11X the available potash, and 1.5X the calcium found in 6 inches of top soil.

Use 2-3 worms/sq. ft. 1,000 worms covers approximately 400 sq. ft.

My worms came in a timly manner, when there WAS a 1 day delay I received an email informing me. They are thiving in my compost pile:)

I ordered the Worm Factory and worms, of course. During the shipping of the worms we ran into difficulty and Arbico went above and beyond to make sure worms and I were happy. I am looking forward to doing business in the future.

This my third order of the red wriggler worms and they were a lively bunch. We don't have many worms in the clay around Charlotte so I have to supplement my gardens that I am starting. Arbico always comes through.

I initially ordered 1000 worms, and was so please with them, I ordered 5000 more. The vermicompost is being used to fill large containers which protects the plants from the agressive desert plants. I have recently had pots invaded by roots which stints the growth and can complete dry out the pot.

Our worms arrived in good shape. Most of them are now living in our compost pile, but others have been spread around in our garden and in the lumpy soil of a next door garden we keep to support a food distribution program. My husband, a social worker, is distressed over the breakup of so many worm families so my neighbor and myself supervised the distribution while he was attending a meeting.
