EM-1 produces high levels of polysaccharides and other beneficial enzymes and organic acids that help build stable aggregate and soil structure, reducing soil erosion and run-off resulting in soils that are better able to absorb and retain moisture, as well as cycle nutrients.

Apply EM-1 to manure and compost piles for accelerated breakdown of organic matter resulting in less breeding sites for flies and other insects.

Active ingredients: Microorganisms... 1 million colony forming units/cc (units/ml)... 1% Lactobacillus plantarum, Lactobacillus casei, Lactobacillus fermentum, Lactobacillus delbrueckii, Bacillus subtilis, Saccharmyces cervevisiae, Rhodopsuedomonas palustris. Inactive ingredients: 96% Water and 3% Molasses.

Uses: For application to soils, lawns, crops, ornamentals and all other horticulture.

Directions: Apply with a watering can, hose-end sprayer, backpack sprayer or inject EM-1 through an irrigation system. EM-1 can be applied once a week during periods of extreme drought or rain and once a month for maintenance. EM-1 is compatible with all organic amendments and is best applied in the mornings and/or evenings and before or after rainfalls. No protective equipment is necessary when applying EM-1.

Application Rates: Mix EM-1 with 1,000 parts of water. Apply 1 gallon to one acre. For small areas, 1 qt. = 10,000 sq. ft, 8 oz. = 2,500 sq. ft. Apply by spraying the mixture on soil, crop residues or cover crops before they are incorporated into the soil. Irrigate after application or apply after rain. Mixture can be diluted to 1: 10,000 if injected through irrigation systems. Repeat application every 14-21 days during crop growth to achieve optimum results.

Storage: Do not store EM-1 in direct sunlight. Store in closed container at room temperature. Do not freeze.

We have the simplest kind of composting toilet, just sawdust in a bucket with a cover. There was never much smell, but with this product and a little soil, none. I also use it on the compost bin outdoors.

The product started to make the lawn look alot better, then I got hit with 10-12 inches of rain from the hurricane. Now the yard is really getting thick and green. Now I have to cut more. I will probably order more for the fall.
