CEASE® is a contact biological fungicide that contains a patented strain of the bacterium Bacillus subtilis. It controls common fungal diseases such as Botrytis, Powdery Mildew, Anthracnose and several leaf spot diseases such as Alternaria and Entomosporium. CEASE® also controls bacterial diseases such as Pseudomonas, Erwinia, and Xanthomonas spp., as well as the soil diseases Rhizoctonia, Pythium, Fusarium and Phytophthora.
CEASE® works two ways. First, the bacterial spores occupy space on the plant surface and compete with the pathogens; then active compounds called lipopeptides produced by each bacterium disrupt the germination and growth of invading pathogens. Due to this, resistance is not likely to develop. CEASE can be used in combination and/or rotation with other products and as part of an effective resistance management program.
One of the big advantages of CEASE® is its safety. CEASE® is exempt from residue tolerences in food crops, has a 0 day Pre-Harvest Interval, and a 4 hour REI; it requires no special WPS requirements. CEASE® is NOP approved for organic production. Experience has shown CEASE® to be safe on sensitive foliage and open blooms. However, if tank-mixed, tests must be carried out to prove that the mixture is as safe as CEASE® alone. Do not mix with products containing the fungicides Beauveria bassiana Strain GHA. CEASE® can be affected by rain or overhead irrigation as it is not rain-fast and contains no surfactant; to avoid this problem, apply with a spreader sticker like Therm X70. CEASE may be used anywhere plants are grown, from residential to interior to field locations. Labeled crops include ornamentals, trees, shrubs, flowers, bedding plants, tropical plants, seedlings, conifers, and greenhouse vegetables. CEASE can be applied as often as every 3 days. It is recommended to spray once a week for prevention when conditions are optimum for disease. The most commonly used rate is 4 quarts per 100 gallons per acre; it varies from 2 to 8 per 100 gallons per acre. See label for specific crops and diseases. CEASE is a liquid formulation that easily goes into suspension; however, it is best to maintain agitation during mixing and application to assure uniform coverage. It is compatible with a wide range of pesticides, fertilizers and adjuvants. If applying the growth regulator B-Nine, CEASE® may be used immediately before or afterwards with no phytotoxicity. Maintain a spray solution pH between 4.5 and 8.5. CEASE® may be used with pH lowering materials without causing injury to plants. See label for specific crop instructions.

| Not Available for Sale or Shipping in the Following States: AK, DC, ND, NV | Why Restrictions? All products labeled as pesticides, whether the product is natural, organic or man-made, are regulated by each state. Restrictions for sale in a state occur because the manufacturer of the product chooses not to register that product there. If the product is not a pesticide, there may be other regulations that the vendor cannot easily meet having to do with labeling. The reason for non-registration is usually economic: each state requires a fee that is paid annually, or the cost of re-labeling for just one or a few states is too high. For instance, each pesticide registered for sale in Arizona is assessed a $100 fee yearly for each size product. If you would like this product in your state, let us know and we will communicate your interest to the manufacturer. If there is enough interest, the manufacturer may decide to register the product you want. In the meantime, call us and we will help you find a similar product that we can substitute that is registered in your state. Please call with any questions, toll free 1-800-827-2847.
