Pre-bait to Stay a Step Ahead of Garden Pests
By: Jennifer, Arbico Organics
April, 2006

This is a term that you should garden by. It happens every year: You put in the best plants, sow the best seed, and get up the next morning to find them chewed to bits or gone altogether. Slugs, snails, earwigs and other crawling critters are waiting—patiently—for that nice person to put out the tasty plants again. Think about this: the bugs are there, because they have been there every year, and you have to play catch-up to bring your partially eaten plants back to health, or replace them. Why let that happen again? Instead of planting first and ringing the dinner bell for the pests, put out some Ant & Crawling Insect Killer (DE) before you plant. The pests are drawn to these safe and poison free materials for their last meal. So simple, yet so much annually occurring frustration eliminated. A night or two is all it takes for the snails to eat up all your new plants. This year and from now on, get to the bugs before they get to you.
