LeafminerLeafminers are insects that develop and feed inside plant leaves. Many insects can be leafminers, including some flies, beetles, moths, and wasps. The larval stage creates the characteristic mines. Typically the species of leafminer can be identified by the tunnel patterns on the leaves. They are rarely abundant enough to cause much severe damage to host plants, but can cause plants to be unattractive.
