June Bugs

June Bugs (Coleoptera Scarabeidae)
June bugs are also called June beetles, May bugs, or May beetles. June bug is the common name for a variety of beetles in the scarab family; there are over 200 June bug species in North America. The beetles are reddish-brown to black in color with shiny wing covers and are 12 to 35 mm long.

The adults feed on plant foliage and eat leaves of both deciduous and coniferous trees.

The larvae (grubs) feed in the soil on plant roots and often damage grass lawns. Overall, June bugs do little damage to important plants and are primarily a nuisance pest.

Use Beneficial Nematodes to control the grub stage of june beetles.
