Safer® Brand Houseplant Insect Killer Aerosol is an environmentally friendly, fast acting contact insect killer. It will work on aphids, whiteflies, spider mites, mealy bugs and more. The aerosol is powered by compressed air and will give a gentle mist spray from any angle, so it is easy to spray under the leaves to get hidden pests. Its active ingredients are pyrethrins (.012%), potassium salts of fatty acids (insecticidal soap – 1.015%). The pyrethrins kill by disabling the insect’s nervous system, and the potassium salts disrupt and weaken the insect’s outer shell.
Use on your houseplants wherever insects or their damage appears; spray until plant surfaces are thoroughly moistened, but use with caution on new, tender foliage. Repeat treatment every 7 to 10 days when insects are present.
Caution: do not use this product on Crown of Thorns, Jade Plant, or delicate ferns. Test on Begonias, Fuchsias and Impatiens for varietal sensitivity. This product is toxic to fish. If you have an aquarium, remove it or cover it when spraying.
