Decco Citrus Lustr® 520 is a Carnauba wax and beeswax based organic fruit coating for use on dry, clean citrus fruit to maintain freshness. It will counteract the drying affects of the cleaning process by reducing loss of water and improve the appearance by giving a surface shine. It will retard the development of rind disorders and lesson the risk of chalking. It is usually applied in a brush bed. It is OMRI listed for post-production use.
Carnauba wax comes from the leaf of the wax palm from South America. It is the hardest natural wax and has the highest melting point. Beeswax is softer than Carnauba and has a lower melting point. Combining the two waxes makes this formulation less expensive and easier to apply. This formulation is a wax emulsion that is tan in color. The active ingredients of Decco Citrus Lustr® 520 are Wood Rosin, Carnauba wax and beeswax.
Usage Rates:
Citrus: Apply by spraying or dripping without dilution. Apply one gallon to 8,000 lbs of small or 10,000 lbs of large clean, dry fruit on a brush bed.
