The larval stage of the green lacewing provides the quickest means to control unwanted pests. The larvae are packaged in a frame with small compartments that can be peeled open a little at a time to make the releases in various areas.
Preferred food: aphids, mealybugs, spider mites, leafhopper nymphs, caterpillar eggs, scales, thrips, and whiteflies.
Release rates: Release Green Lacewing larvae 2 larvae per 20 pest insects, 2 larvae per sq. ft. or 10,000-50,000 larvae/ acre per year. Larvae should be release immediately.
As pests decline maintain Green lacewing populations with beneficial habitat and Good Bug Meal.
