Decollate Snail <I>Rumina decollata</I> 100

Decollate Snail Rumina decollata 100

These beneficial snails control infestations of small and medium brown garden snails. The snails will be dormant when you receive them; place them in a pan or bucket and run cool water over them for 2-3 minutes. Drain off the water and place them in a moist, shady area where brown snails are present.

Release rate: About 100/normal size yard; 1,000/acre. Allow time for them to work: it may take up to 2 years for heavy brown snail problems to be eradicated.

Important Note: The only states allowing the release of Decollate snails are California and Texas. California's State Fish and Game Commission authorizes Decollate use in the following counties: Fresno, Imperial, Kern, Los Angeles, Madera, Orange, Riverside, San Diego, San Bernardino, Santa Barbara, Tulare, and Ventura.

Decollate Snail availability varies depending on weather conditions.
